Engineering Manager – Food Production Facility

North Dublin, Full Time

We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager for an established High Care Food Production facility in North Dublin. The role will involve developing best practices, ensuring excellence in all engineering initiatives, and coaching and mentoring operations engineers.

 

Role Requirements:

  • Responsible for all Energy used on site i.e., Electricity, Gas, Refrigeration, etc.
  • Managing all site services, wastewater, process water, process chemicals, sewage
  • Leading and managing a diverse team of Engineering Technicians.
  • Budget control, responsible for all engineering budgets and budget allocation annually.
  • Ensuring business is always audit ready.
  • Responsible for adherence to all on site safety requirements
  • Managing all pm maintenance activities on site system.
  • Reviewing and agreeing all service contracts annually.
  • Negotiating all contracts and actively achieving savings throughout.
  • Generate novel and unique solutions to both engineering and organisational challenges.
  • Plans, directs and implements all aspects of the company’s design and development of new processes, products or software systems.
  • Guides the conceptualisation of new methodologies, materials, machines, processes or products.
  • Organises the coordination of activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure timely delivery.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • At least 5 years’ experience of managing high performing teams (FMCG background desirable but not essential)
  • Degree, Masters, Black Belt in Engineering or equivalent with proven experience in Lean tools and project management skills essential.
  • Must have experience on Ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Must be experienced in Microsoft Office, Excel Spreadsheets
  • Must be experienced in BMS {Building Management System} functions and controls.

Salary guideline €80k – €85k
