Role: Freight Forwarding Supervisor

Location: Little Island, Cork

Salary: €45k – €50k

Role Requirements: 

· Lead and manage a team of operators, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company standards.

· Collaborate with the Manager to oversee and manage the overall operation and team, providing support and assistance as needed.

· Coordinate import and export operations, including scheduling shipments, planning routes, and managing vehicle resources effectively.

· Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery.

· Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transit.

· Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures, including road transport laws and safety regulations.

· Analyse data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to optimize road transport operations.

Candidate Requirements: 

· Proven experience in road freight operations, with a focus on import and export activities. Freight forwarding experience in deep sea and air freight preferable.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Ability to work on own initiative.

· Excellent planning and organisational skills.

· The ability to multi task.

· Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
