Role: Hotel Sales & Marketing Manager

Location: Kilkenny

Salary: €65k

Role Requirements:

  • Identify opportunities locally, nationally and internationally to build relationships with key individuals and organisations to grow the business and brand.
  • Manage existing accounts and develop new accounts from the corporate market for bedrooms, meeting, and event business.
  • Actively participate in all aspects of sales, including sales calls, social and promotional events and corporate entertainment.
  • Oversee the Sales & Marketing department, delegating tasks, ensuring their completion. Ensuring all emails, telephone calls and requests are addressed and/or logged promptly and efficiently when off site.
  • Represent the brand at trade exhibitions, consumer fairs and events and to build relationships with associations which may benefit the hotel’s sales.
  • Develop and manage Conference/Corporate business for the hotel.
  • Stay up to date with market changes and be aware of relevant competitor information to inform/recommend any changes in service that may be necessary.
  • Work closely with other departments within the hotel, Food & Beverage, Weddings & Events, Reservations etc.
  • Maximise sales opportunities and ensure all sales leads generated are actioned or referred in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Create a strategy plan to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
  • Have a complete knowledge of all the facilities and services offered by the hotel.
  • Assist with any and all reports and paperwork necessary to the department.
  • Ensure all sales correspondence, contracts, quotations, confirmations, cancellations are processed, distributed and filled in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Manage the hotel’s social media accounts and work closely with PR company.
  • Report all sales activity to General Manager on a weekly basis.
  • Create and develop marketing strategies and campaigns to grow the business.
  • Identify public relations opportunities that will compliment the overall sales and marketing strategies.
  • Focus on the long term, value based customer relationships that facilitate the achievement of the hotels sales goals.
  • Maintain successful performance by increasing revenues, working with budgets, controlling expenses to ensure a return on investment for the hotel.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience (4 to 5 years) in hotel sales and / or marketing experience is essential.
  • Third level degree in Sales/Marketing/PR.
  • Experience in selling corporate accommodation, conference rooms, weddings and events and bar and restaurant.
  • Highly motivated individual capable of managing a large network of clients.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organised is a must.
  • Creative and analytic mind with the ability to persuade and negotiate effectively.
  • Social media savvy.
  • Full clean Irish driver’s license.
  • Willing to travel locally and occasionally nationally for events and trade shows.
  • Professional approach to all aspects of the role.
