Management Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.  Your responsibilities will include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns.  Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
  • Prepare budget forecasts.
  • Reconcile Accounts Payable and Receivable.
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations and standards.
  • Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
  • Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes
  • Assist with and act as a point-of-contact for auditor requests.
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

 

Essential Requirements and Skills:

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified.
  • IFRS and Statutory Accounting.
  • 2-5 years of accounting/finance experience.
  • Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with accounting software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organisation.
  • Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
  • Highly detail-oriented
