Operations Manager

Role: Operations Manager

Location: North Dublin

Salary: €45k – 50k


Role Requirements:

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery services.
  • Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers, and other staff to optimise delivery routes and schedules.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to improve operational performance.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of operations staff, including drivers, warehouse workers, and administrative personnel.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining service quality and addressing customer queries and complaints promptly.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure the delivery service meets their expectations.
  • Ensure all operations comply with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee inventory management, including the tracking of packages and warehouse stock levels.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Manage fleet maintenance and ensure vehicles are kept in good working condition.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitor operational expenses.
  • Analyse financial reports to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure accurate billing and invoicing processes.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to support business growth and expansion.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the courier or logistics industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with logistics software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Valid driving licence is required.
