Executive Talent are delighted to be seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor for our client based in Wicklow.  The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the entire operations function from procurement to product delivery, ensuring all operate at optimum levels. This role will be the key driver in establishing the highest standards of operational excellence in line with the business strategy and transformation projects. EXET22


Key areas of responsibility include:


  • All company Procurement requirements
  • Production of company product ranges
  • Supply and delivery of company products in a timely manner


Key Responsibilities will include:


  • Day to day running of plant and site to high operating, safety and housekeeping standards
  • Overall management of purchasing function to ensure efficient on site stock levels
  • Production planning, ensuring product is manufactured and shipped in a timely basis
  • Management of logistics function
  • Working with Head of Continuous Improvement and Operations to embrace and bed in Lean initiatives, to create a culture of consistent production, continuous improvement and improved performance
  • People management, mentoring, development, consistent with company culture and liaising with HR
  • Health and Safety, Quality and Compliance


Knowledge Skills and Experience


  • Management experience in manufacturing environment
  • Negotiation skills
  • Experience in change/ transformation
  • Excellent business acumen and strong commercial awareness
  • Experience in implementing continuous improvement projects
  • Advanced interpersonal, team-working and leadership skills
  • Confident at challenging the status quo and in influencing and challenging decisions at a senior management level
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within the organisation and externally with customers/suppliers



  • Proven ability and agility to embrace new systems, processes, technology and ideas
  • Ability to perform under minimum direction with a positive approach to dealing with challenges and ambiguity
  • Results driven with the ability to motivate a team to help them understand the need for results
  • Previous experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment desirable
  • IT Skills
