Quality Assurance Officer

Location – North Dublin

Salary – €35k – €38k

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager the successful candidate will work within the Quality Team to ensure that day to day production operations are conducted in a quality focused way. This will involve meeting deadlines and ensuring both Food Safety and Customer Quality standards are maintained. Self-motivation, diligence and good communication skills are essential.

Role Requirements: 

• Vendors and raw materials approval following by records maintenance.
• Carry out quality checks and sampling raw materials on arrival. Raising supplier non-conformances as needed.
• Issuing COC/COA when requested request.
• Logging and trending customer/consumer complaints and close out of complaints.
• Compiling monthly KPI report for customer complaints
• QAS generation for online specification systems (Oracle, ZOOM, Ashbury etc) and offline data sheets.
• Assisting with the development and implementation of quality control policies and procedures.
• Monitor HACCP implementation on a daily basis in accordance with Food Safety legislation.
• Carry out Hygiene and GMP check and assisting in internal audits
• Logging and testing finished goods
• Adhoc administration tasks as required

Candidate Requirements: 

• 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Third level qualification in a food science, food technology or science desirable
• Working knowledge of the Food Industry and HACCP
• Working knowledge of online specifications
• Ability to work on one’s own initiative
• Relevant certifications are an advantage but not essential (internal auditing, HACCP etc)
