Role: Sales Support Administrator

Location: Ashbourne, Co. Meath

Salary: €35k


Role Requirements:

  • Develop and implement effective commercial strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Conduct regular analysis of procurement costs to identify and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Monitor margins, pricing, and cost structures, ensuring optimal profitability.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for growth and market expansion within the fresh produce sector.
  • Analyse and mitigate commercial risks associated with the sale of fresh produce.
  • Continuously evaluate existing suppliers and explore new sources to enhance product variety and availability.
  • Assess risks of new initiatives, ensure deadlines are met, and manage unexpected situations effectively.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to drive fresh produce sales.
  • Assist customers with inquiries, special orders, and product recommendations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure the availability and freshness of produce.
  • Ensure optimal stock levels to meet demand while minimising waste.
  • Oversee procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, and maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Provide training on best practices and department goals.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with fresh produce suppliers.
  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain team on transportation and logistics to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Work closely with supermarket buyers to align procurement with sales strategies.
  • Inspect incoming produce shipments for freshness, quality, and compliance with standards.
  • Ensure traceability of products throughout the supply chain.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations related to fresh produce handling.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.
  • Knowledge of the fresh produce industry and supply chain management.
  • A proactive and collaborative team player.
