Role:  Senior Operations Supervisor

Location: North Dublin

Salary: €40k – €45k

Own transport essential

Evening Shift – 2pm – 11pm

We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Supervisor for our client based in North Dublin.

Role Requirements:

• Manage the day-to-day activities of the transport department and road freight warehouse pm shifts to ensure all duties are carried out.
• Manage transport administration including driver de-brief.
• Overseeing the planning of domestic vehicles for Transport of Domestic, Road Freight and Logistics customers.
• Monitoring of vehicle utilisation, trunking performance and load planning.
• Manage and oversee that all warehouse activities are conducted and completed in a professional and business-like manner and in line with our health and safety practices.
• Ensure all inbound and outbound processes are followed by the warehouse team.
• Manage the accurate checking and scanning in and out of orders and accurate loading and manifesting of all out bound vehicles with the planning and warehouse teams.
• Ensure all inbound and outbound processes are followed by the warehouse team.
• Manage the loading and offloading of inbound trailers and local delivery vehicles, as per our manifests and warehouse processes.
• Monitor and deal with transport queries, by liaising with other depots and department
• Oversee and manage activities in the yards in relation to shunting and traffic management.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience working in transport planning and warehouse operations required.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail. Self-motivated with good communication skills.
• The ability to work as part of a team and be accountable for tasks and actions.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Must be able to work well under pressure.
• Possess a positive outlook, promoting constructive responses to the challenges of work.
• Must be flexible and open to shift change when necessary
• Forklift experience is essential
• VNA/Shunter experience would be an advantage
