Financial Accountant- Logistics

Role: Financial Accountant- Logistics  

Location: Dublin 15

Salary: €60k – €70k

Role Requirements:

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for logistics operations. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with financial regulations.
• Collaborate with the operations team to create budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Monitor and control costs related to logistics and supply chain activities, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to budgeted targets.
• Oversee daily accounting transactions, including invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
• Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial assets, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and compliant with company policies.
• Ensure all financial practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company standards.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and present findings to senior management for decision-making purposes.

Candidate Requirements:

• Professional qualification required or part qualified working towards same.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting required.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain industries a distinct advantage.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
• Strong ability to analyse financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations for cost optimisation.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and transaction processing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders including finance, logistics, and senior management teams.
