Commercial Supply Chain Manager – Hybrid

Role: Commercial Supply Chain Manager

Location: Sandyford    

Salary: €80k – €100k DOE

Role Requirements: 

• Develop and implement strategic procurement frameworks for subconsultant services aligned with business goals and budget.
• Lead the full procurement lifecycle including RFP/RFQ processes, vendor evaluation, negotiation, and onboarding.
• Implement and manage e-procurement tools and maintain centralised documentation and vendor records.
• Deliver maximum return on investment through competitive, value-driven supplier relationships.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships through consistent performance reviews and open feedback channels.
• Monitor and report on performance metrics (KPIs & SLAs), ensuring high standards of service delivery.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement with project needs and expectations.
• Provide executive decision support through commercial analysis and recommendations.
• Standardise procurement processes and identify opportunities for optimisation and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, employment law, and company procurement policies.
• Conduct due diligence and background checks on vendors, and manage internal controls to mitigate risk.
• Maintain and update certifications related to the role and services procured.
• Build and lead a team of mechanical and electrical site engineers to support group project teams on-site.
• Ensure the team contributes effectively to quality assurance and delivery compliance on client projects.
• Act as a point of contact for site-related commercial support, problem-solving, and technical oversight.

Candidate Requirements: 

• Extensive experience in strategic procurement and commercial operations, ideally within engineering or construction.
• Demonstrable success in high-value, relationship-driven procurement.
• Strong knowledge of contract and employment law, compliance, and vendor management.
• Experience building or leading site-based engineering teams is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with subconsultant management is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in procurement platforms and MS Office; knowledge of ERP systems is preferred.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, ISM) are advantageous.
