Engineering & Maintenance Manager

Role: Engineering & Maintenance Manager – Facilities Management

Location: Cork

Salary: €80k+

Role Requirements: 

• Lead and manage all site maintenance and facilities engineering activities.
• Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Ensure compliance with Irish health & safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Manage site utilities including HVAC, compressed air, water systems, electrical infrastructure, and building services.
• Oversee contractor management, permits, and maintenance budgets.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on uptime, efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Lead, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians and engineering staff.
• Support capital projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades.
• Ensure CMMS systems are effectively maintained and utilised.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and EHS teams.
• Site project management in conjunction with client

Candidate Requirements: 

• Degree or trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities, or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience in facilities engineering and maintenance management.
• Experience within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical device, food production, or industrial environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and facility operations.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and project management abilities.
• Familiarity with Irish health & safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
