Role: Accounts Assistant
Location: West Dublin
Salary €40k – €45k DOE
Role Requirements:
- The accounts assistant will help to process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
- Ensure payroll complies with Revenue legislation and company policies.
- Assist the full Accounts Receivable function, including invoicing, cash allocation, customer account reconciliations, and debtor reporting.
- Proactively follow up on outstanding invoices and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate payment discrepancies.
- Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare journals, reports, and supporting documentation for management.
- Support Accounts Payable and the wider finance team when required.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and financial information.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and controls.
- Provide general accounts administration and ad hoc support to the Finance Manager.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Accounts Assistant, Payroll Administrator, or similar finance role.
- Strong practical experience processing payroll from start to finish.
- Excellent Accounts Receivable and credit control experience.
- Experience with customer account reconciliations.
- Good understanding of payroll legislation and accounting principles.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using accountany software systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
