Role: Accounts Assistant

Location: West Dublin 

Salary €40k – €45k DOE

Role Requirements: 

  • The accounts assistant will help to process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
  • Ensure payroll complies with Revenue legislation and company policies.
  • Assist the full Accounts Receivable function, including invoicing, cash allocation, customer account reconciliations, and debtor reporting.
  • Proactively follow up on outstanding invoices and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and investigate payment discrepancies.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare journals, reports, and supporting documentation for management.
  • Support Accounts Payable and the wider finance team when required.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and financial information.
  • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and controls.
  • Provide general accounts administration and ad hoc support to the Finance Manager.

Candidate Requirements: 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Accounts Assistant, Payroll Administrator, or similar finance role.
  • Strong practical experience processing payroll from start to finish.
  • Excellent Accounts Receivable and credit control experience.
  • Experience with customer account reconciliations.
  • Good understanding of payroll legislation and accounting principles.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience using accountany software systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
