EU Transport Planner

Role: EU Transport Planner  

Location: Ashbourne

Salary: €40k – €45k

Role Requirements:

• Plan and optimise transport routes across the EU to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate with external carriers and transport providers to secure reliable, on-time delivery services.
• Ensure transport activities comply with EU regulations, prepare necessary documentation, and maintain accurate records.
• Manage transport costs, identify savings opportunities, and help maintain budget targets.
• Work closely with logistics, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure seamless delivery operations.
• Track and report on transport performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.
• Resolve transport-related issues, from delays to route disruptions, quickly and effectively.
• Occasionally handle out-of-hours transport planning needs as required.

Candidate Requirements:

• 3+ years in transport planning or logistics with EU transportation network knowledge.
• Proficient in transport management systems (TMS), cost management, and EU transport regulations.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
• Advanced in MS Office (Excel), experience with GPS tracking tools, and familiarity with sustainability practices.
• Ability to handle changes and work outside regular hours when necessary.
