Facilities Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager for our Transport & Logistics client in North Dublin. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years facilities and maintenance management experience in  a commercial setting.

Role requirements:

• Site wide ownership and accountability for facilities and maintenance requirements
• Management of budget and P&L for maintenance and preventative maintenance
• Accountable for ensuring onsite fuel levels in line with daily requirements
• Management of forklift supplier and repairs as well as maintenance schedule and records
• Management of security and CCTV
• Ensure the structural environment meets all health and safety requirements
• Manage all services essential to the smooth running of the business, ensuring site is clean and organised e.g. waste disposal, cleaning, security, mail, reception, catering, archive facilities, recycling
• Optimise and manage space and resource allocation across buildings
• Align plans for future development with the strategic business objectives of the company
• Respond and plan for all contingencies and emergencies
• Organise and co-ordinate fire evacuation
• Manage the document flow for all contractor tenders
• Prepare site regulations and issue permits to work for all contractor activities on site
• Implement and manage HSSE procedures working with the HSSE team to deliver a healthy and safe working environment
• Ensure site is always fully stocked with equipment and consumable supplies
• Manage 3^rd party security provider to ensure site adequately covered and manned at all time

Candidate requirements:

• Min 5 years operational experience at least 3 of which must be at a management level with direct reports.
• Good understanding of mechanical, engineering and/or electrical disciplines within a maintenance environment
• Maintenance/construction skills in order to provide support to maintenance team
• Previous experience in logistics, transport, wrehousing a distinct advantage
• Excellent it skills e.g. Microsoft office, cad etc
• Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
• Educated to a degree level with a suitable qualification in Facilities Management, Property Management or Construction Management
• Membership of the IWFM, RICS or other professional body, NEBOSH or IOSH qualified
