Role: Financial Controller 

Location: South West Dublin

Salary: €100k+

Role Requirements: 

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:

    • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
    • Provide detailed financial analysis and insights, presenting results to senior management and other stakeholders.
    • Manage the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with all regulatory tax requirements
    • Assist in the preparation and review of financial reporting packages for investors, lenders, and other stakeholders.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Lead the annual budgeting process and regularly update financial forecasts based on performance and market conditions.
    • Work closely with department heads to ensure alignment between financial plans and business goals.
    • Provide financial forecasting, identifying any potential risks or opportunities.
  • Internal Controls and Compliance:

    • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
    • Implement and monitor compliance with financial policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
    • Support and liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process, ensuring timely completion.
  • Cash Flow and Treasury Management:

    • Oversee cash flow management to ensure that the business has sufficient liquidity to meet its obligations.
    • Monitor working capital requirements and implement strategies to improve cash management.
    • Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions as needed.
  • Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, ensuring high performance and professional development.
    • Coordinate training programs and resources to enhance team capabilities.
  • Cost Control and Profitability:

    • Identify and implement cost control measures to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
    • Support operational managers by providing financial analysis and recommendations for cost-saving opportunities.
  • Tax Planning and Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with Irish tax laws, including VAT, corporation tax, payroll taxes, and other relevant filings.
    • Work closely with tax advisors and external consultants to develop effective tax strategies and minimise tax liabilities.

Candidate Requirements: 

    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
    • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA are essential.
    • At least 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
    • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
    • Experience in Irish tax laws and regulatory compliance is essential.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
