General Manager – Beef Processing

Role: General Manager

Location: South Dublin

Salary: €80k – €100k

The successful candidate will work hand in hand with the Managing Director, to drive the business forward and expand its already established position as a supplier of very high quality product, to high end retail and food service customers across Ireland, UK and Europe.

Role Requirements: 

• The successful applicant will be responsible for 15 staff, and the planning and running of the factory, which operates a single shift, over 5 days. The candidate must have a strong sense of responsibility, and willingness and ability to take ownership of matters and to show autonomy.
• They should bring enthusiasm, a positive can-do attitude, a will to succeed, a desire to build and progress the business with a view towards long term and consistent success, driven by a strong attention to detail, with the long term strategy/welfare of the business being forefront at all times.
• They should bring energy and initiative, a desire to lead by example, and be comfortable being hands-on and involved as and when needed. They should be competent with IT and modern office systems.

Candidate Requirements: 

• Relevant Third Level Qualification
• Acquired substantial and relevant food industry experience, gained over a number of years.
• Beef industry experience, a working knowledge of beef, is preferable, but not essential.
• Applicants must have previous management experience in senior managerial capacity.
• Commercially driven and aware of the key metrics of yield/margin and profitability
