Role: H&S Manager
Location: Dublin City Centre
Salary: €50k – €60k
Role Requirements:
• Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
• Inspect work environments to ensure safety in workplace.
• Conduct hazard and risk assessments at the property to include quarterly OSHA/SAFETY audits, incident tracking, and the hazard abatement process.
• Submit Workplace Risk Assessment Report and Workplace Occupational Health and Safety workbook.
• Suspension of activities that pose threats to workers’ health or safety.
• Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
• Investigate accidents to identify causes or to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.
• Advise management regarding health or safety issues.
• Investigate the adequacy of ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, or other conditions that could affect employee health, comfort, or performance.
• Investigate health-related complaints and inspect facilities to ensure that they comply with public health legislation and regulations.
• Maintain or update emergency response plans or procedures.
• Develop emergency procedures with other departments.
• Inspect specified areas to ensure the presence of fire prevention equipment, safety equipment, or first-aid supplies.
• Conduct thorough and high-quality safety inspections across the site, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards.
• Chair monthly H&S meetings with management and operational teams, lead risk reviews, and oversee incident investigations and reporting.
• Ensure safety notice boards and good catch data are up to date and effectively managed.
• Implement the H&S management system, coaching and guiding teams at all levels to meet regulatory, statutory, and internal health & safety requirements.
• Conduct site-specific risk assessments and develop action plans to minimize risks for employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Organize and lead safety campaigns to promote a strong safety culture across the site.
• Maintain and manage all necessary Health & Safety documentation for internal activities, inspections, and compliance purposes.
• Execute regular H&S inspection programs to ensure continuous compliance.
• Lead the investigation of H&S incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Candidate Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Occupational Health and Safety or similar qualification (NEBOSH, QQI or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar role.
• Experience working in hospitality would be a distinct advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
