Load Planner (Night-shift)

Role: Load Planner (Nightshift)

Location: Dundalk, Louth

Salary: €32 – €35k

Position Overview:
The Load Planner will be responsible for efficiently planning and organizing loads while ensuring proper use of warehouse space and fleet capacity. This role is perfect for an individual with strong computer skills, as approximately 50% of the work involves logistics software and data entry. The ideal candidate will also have practical forklift experience to assist with the physical aspects of loading and unloading when necessary.

Role Requirements:

• Plan and coordinate loads for delivery, ensuring optimal use of fleet resources
• Manage and track shipment schedules using logistics software
• Collaborate with drivers, warehouse staff, and dispatch to ensure timely deliveries
• Use forklifts to assist with loading/unloading as needed
• Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Maintain accurate records of loads, inventories, and schedules

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in load planning or logistics coordination
• Forklift certification and practical experience operating forklifts
• Strong computer skills, with experience using logistics software and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle night shifts
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
• Good geographical knowledge of Ireland in particular Louth and Monaghan
