Ocean Freight Forwarder

Role: Ocean Freight Forwarder

Location: North Dublin

Salary: €42k – €45k

Role Requirements: 

• Coordinate and manage ocean freight shipments from origin to destination.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and other required paperwork.
• Communicate with carriers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient shipment delivery.
• Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to customers and resolving any issues that arise.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers to secure the best possible pricing for our clients.
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.
• Assist with customs clearance processes and coordinate with customs brokers as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all shipments.

Candidate Requirements: 

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in ocean freight forwarding or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
