Senior HR Generalist – ER Focus

Role: Senior HR Generalist – ER Focus

Location: Dublin 22 

Salary: €55k – €60k  

 

Role Requirements:

  • Work closely with the HR Director to ensure the consistent delivery of HR services across the business.
  • Provide expert support on day-to-day HR matters, from general enquiries to complex case management.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including disciplinaries, grievances, capability and performance cases, and absence management.
  • Lead and support internal investigations into sensitive or complex HR matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, HR policies, and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation to meet audit and governance requirements.
  • Assist in policy development and the implementation of HR initiatives to improve employee engagement.
  • Support line managers through coaching and the provision of templates, tools, and advice.
  • Contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts across the business.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; able to influence and build strong working relationships at all levels.
  • Skilled in handling conflict and conducting sensitive conversations with empathy, clarity, and professionalism.
  • Strong mediation, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proven ability to analyse data and trends to support strategic HR decisions.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree qualification in HR or a related discipline.
  • CIPD qualification an advantage.
  • Mediation training/certification highly advantageous.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing a full ER process within a large or complex organisation, with a strong emphasis on employee relations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a high volume of ER cases through to resolution.
  • Thorough understanding of Irish employment law and its practical application.
  • Proficient with HR systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS, reporting tools) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working in unionised or multi-site environments is desirable.
  • Familiarity with WRC or equivalent third-party dispute resolution processes is a plus.
  • Experience of working with or supporting diversity, wellbeing, or organisational development initiatives.
