Role: Workforce Planner
Location: Dublin 18
Salary: €80k – €90k
Role Requirements:
- Manage both short-term and long-term resourcing requirements by monitoring workforce capacity, utilisation levels, and project demands.
- Track and update workforce availability using Excel-based planning tools integrated with SAP.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers to allocate staff based on project needs, skillsets, and budget considerations.
- Strategically allocate personnel in alignment with the company’s skills matrix, assessing workforce capabilities and identifying skill gaps to support career development and progression.
- Coordinate six-monthly performance reviews for the resource pool, contributing to discussions around individual development and future opportunities.
- Maintain regular communication with employees in the resource pool, providing updates on assignments, expectations, and career pathways.
- Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new joiners, including arranging shadowing periods for junior staff to aid integration and learning.
- Approve contractor timesheets and liaise with external staffing providers to secure additional resources when necessary.
- Prepare and present weekly dashboard reports on workforce planning and utilisation to the leadership team, offering insight into emerging trends and resourcing challenges.
Candidate Requirements:
- A degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 – 6 years of experience in resource coordination, workforce planning, or project support (preferably within engineering, construction, or consultancy environments).
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with project teams, leadership, and external stakeholders.
- Experience in managing contractor allocations and timesheet approvals (desirable but not required).
- Familiarity with engineering project lifecycles and workforce planning principles (desirable but not required).
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to track workforce capacity and manage resource allocation.
- Experience using Excel for workforce planning (knowledge of SAP or other planning tools is a plus).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with managers across different departments.
- Proactive and detail-oriented mindset, with a structured approach to problem-solving.
